Rumors are rumors, but the only decent one I heard is that ATI leaked it. But that's just a rumor.
The whole thing is very upsetting, everything is in that code from the monsters AI to the source to Steam Tracker... god this must be a nightmare for Valve, Game of the year source leaked before a demo is even released. Someone is trying to ruin valve and help out the competition.

One things for sure, if it is real, someones going to feel it. I think from a legal standpoint there safe, i cant say for sure, but man that certianly sucks.
