OK, I think I found the problem, but I don't know how to fix it: it appears
to be the case, that if you make any calls to pTriAPI->SpriteTexture, any
subsequent calls to gEngfuncs.pfnDrawCharacter cause garbled text.

I've almost worked around this problem fully, by rendering all my text
before any tris, but I can't think of a way to fix the NS pop-up menus, as
they require text to be drawn on top of images. I'm guessing this is going
to cause problems for other mods also. Is there any way to "unset" a
texture, or somehow trick HL into forgetting about setting this texture?

Anyone else figured out anything here?

Is there any documentation on how fonts have changed, and font usage for
mods under Steam? Most of the fonts throughout NS are now corrupted, and
the community is hard at work trying to fix the problem. If there is any
documentation available, or if anyone wants to volunteer some information,
that would be fantastic.
