This is a multi-part message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] So steam doest work.. again. I tried to play my mod today, and it would pretend to work. I get the message "Preparing to play" But nothing happens. Hl.exe starts up but I have no window. So I have to ctrl-alt-del and kill the process to close steam and try again with no luck. I reboot and the same thing happens. I reinstall steam. And the same thing happens. I uninstall steam then delete the steam dir then clean up my registry because apparently the uninstall program that comes with steam is more or less bullshit. Then I reinstall steam and WOW. Half-Life works. Great, now lets play my mod. OH boy same thing again. Hl.exe starts up but I have no window, nothing. Ctrl-alt-del close steam, start steam up again, try default half-life this time and it does't work. Ctrl-alt-del, close, Uninstall steam, delete dir, clean reg, reinstall steam, update. Try this with another third party mod, and the same thing happens again, thus ruling out the faint possibility that my mod somehow corrupted this fragile steam software. Ctrl-alt-del, close, Uninstall, delete, clear, reinstall update. Now my real question is which person at valve software wants to die first?
