Afaik you can't do the dedicated server from command line, you have to launch it from inside steam.

Thanks Tony, that works fine without -console.
What's the trick to getting the dedicated server to run a mod from the shortcut?
"C:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
server\hlds.exe"
-game swarm +map sw_nite
Gives the old no steam dll error. As does
"C:[EMAIL PROTECTED]"
-game
swarm +map sw_nite
And running either via steam -applaunch just runs the standard
interface.

What is the command line to run a mod when not debugging?
I have tried using:
C:\Steam\Steam.exe -applaunch 70 -game swarm
and
C:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
-console
-game swarm
The first version runs halflife not my mod, the second complains
about
not finding the Steam dll.
Mod is installed ok, I can run it from the Steam->Games panel. In
fact
that is where I created the first version of the shortcut from.
Steam is running when I try the shortcut.
Steam is set to auto update, so it should be up to date. Played a
little
HL just to make sure though ;)
Both shortcuts have the path set to the directory the exe is in.
