I would imagine that would include how bullets affect players?
Also on a side note. I noticed since the new SDK was released they removed the m_flMaxRange1 / m_flMinRange1 from weapon_mp5.cpp The min / max range is essentially the effective ranges for this particular weapon is that correct? Anything greater then the max range does not have damage inflicted, anything less then the min range would not have damage inflicted. Is this correct?

My guess is that the mass affects how the bullet affects physical objects.
