I have a shortcut to 'pskill hl2.exe' on my desktop, with the shortcut SHIFT+ALT+END assigned.
If css gets into a loop, I hit those keys and the process is ended instantly - this type of thing is great for apps which take over the cpu, and occasionally get themselves confused :) I don't know if this can harm your installation - I've done it a hundred times and its never broken anything. Get pskill with pstools from www.sysinternals.com Gee www.georgecairns.co.uk/geemaps -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Skillet Sent: 04 February 2006 01:24 To: [email protected] Subject: Re: Re: [hlcoders] Valve, Engine bug? -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Yep, same here. Anyone annoyed by the extremely slow shutdowns should try running in a window and using the Windows close button instead of HL2 quit, it works immediately.
