I have ample amount of space for the executable, and the only textures I'd need are the dev_measure* ones, so space is not a problem. It's just a matter of getting Hammer to run without Steam. I don't care about anything else - I just want to work on my maps wherever I want to without being tied to my own computer. It's a matter of convenience, really.
The only way to do this is to install Steam itself onto the USB drive. My friend does that and it works great for him. Just be mindful of your space when downloading games that have new gcf's. -- Jorge "Vino" Rodriguez _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlcoders
