Hi all,

I've been trying to record gameplay demos using the various demo
features in Source and have had a lot of problems with
animation/look-at glitching when recording a demo. It happens both in
my mod and in stock Episode 1. The game will be running fine, and
then beginning recording of a demo causes it go fairly haywire. It
appears as if the time used to calculate the animation of the frame,
position of the head, etc. is skipping around a little bit. The
animation will play ten frames in order, then skip ahead 8, then back
to the correct frame, for example. It seems to happen for all
animations, not just ones set by the scene. Interestingly, it does
not seem to happen in Half-Life 2.

It seems like someone else would've seen this, but I wasn't able to
find anything online about it. Has anyone else noticed this, or
better yet, found a workaround?

Thanks a lot,
Nate
