1) We have made it so that anyone who has the rights to the old Source
SDK Base (215) will get the new one (218). This means that users who do
not own any Orange Box games will be able to play your mod using the
Orange Box engine. Of course, if your mod utilizes content from an
Orange Box game then your customer will need to own that game. Right now
there is a problem with the new SDK Base so you should use 420 if your
mod is single player or 440 if your mod is multi-player.

I've been using the Episode 2 hl2.exe.

It seems everyone is able to get their game to run except me. When I run
the game it loads up the mod, then when I create a server it crashes right
away and the call stack shows it's last instruction in the vstdlib.dll. I
deleted everything regarding SDK Base/Tools and when I re-downloaded and
recreated my mod, the same exact error happens.

For debug I'm using the HL2.exe in Source SDK Base folder to start up the
game. As far as I know thats correct. It is using the updated AppID, so
I'm not sure how you guys are getting it to run.
