Hey all, I'm having issues with the server browser and the favourites menu, which are at least in part related to the steam.inf file.
Since the february (?) update that started kicking players when a steam.inf file was present, I've removed this file from the mod, but servers don't show in the server browser (in or out of the game), although you can see them as favourites. Connecting from the out-of-game favourites menu doesn't work (the server info dialog appears for a very short time, then vanishes, and nothing). This orange box mod mounts HL2DM content, and if I add a steam.inf containing just 'AppID=218' to the server only, then servers appaer in the browser properly, and you can connect from the favourites menu, but you get VAC kicked after a few minutes of play. I've seen much discussion and no solutions posted about this issue, so is there a way for an orange box mod to appear in the server browser, work with the favourites menu, and *not* auto-kick all players? Cos I'm not seeing it.
