Hi, thanks for the reply - I play TF2 every day, so I'm afraid that's not it... I'll add one more symptom onto the list that I'd forgotten - all the models for entities are pink checkerboard... in the wireframe view. In Camera view, they're fine, but in the 2D views, instead of wireframes they're solid and pink checkerboard.
