I created a mod, got it compiling and when I run the mod in either VS or via
Steam I get this same assert.

File: src\tier1\utlbuffer.cpp
Line: 220
Assert: Assertion Failed: nSize != 0

I want to fix these asserts and not ignore them, any ideas?

More Info:
I have just created a new mod using the Create Mod button in the source with
Source Engine 2007 selected. Current Game had no options by memory when I
first created the mod, now it has the mod I just created called ETMPLAST,
anyways. After I clicked the Create A Mod button I clicked "Start a
Multiplayer mod from a template( advanced users )", then continued on to
select ALL the features in the check box list. I followed the VS 2008
compiled instructions. Compiles fine.

Using:
VS 2010
Source SDK 2007
