FYI: The IS_NAN macro doesn't work on all platforms. Or the extern const int nanmask; is. Or it's wrong somewhere. But don't depend on IS_NAN on linux, it gives false positives. If anyone has an intelligent explanation on this, it'd be nice. My hypothesis is that the internal representation of floating points may differ on different platforms?
