Thanks, so that's where the files are located now. I can live with that
folder as the names still mention hl2.exe as the crash source.

Check C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\dumps (or wherever your steam is
located), it should have some .dmp files in there, still those can be from
any game, I dislike this new way but what can you do, well except calling
SteamAPI_WriteMiniDump() by yourself, the SteamworksExample calls it via
_set_se_translator(). I hope you can figure out the rest.

Hi list,

With our 2013 port we have come across a few crashes but they are quite
annoying to fix. Mainly because whenever someone reports a crash I have to
try and reproduce it with the debugger attached to the game. For some reason
it does not write .mdmp files anymore like the 2007 engine did. Windows also
no longer reports "hl2.exe has stopped working", the game just crashes to
teh Desktop. I've checked Github to see if someone has posted this issue
already, but that ain't the case.

Does anyone know how I can get it to write .mdmp files again? Btw, it
doesn't matter if it's a debug or release build, both don't cause the files
to be written.
