Figured that out. Servers needed be updated to the new content system (installed using SteamCMD instead of HLDSUpdateTool). See: www.fortress-forever.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24284
But now Hammer is unable to compile maps (Can’t load filesystem_steam.dll), presumably because with the new content system, you’re meant to use .bat files instead of the Source SDK launcher. However, I’m unsure of how to set up those .bat files for a mod, as the .bat files are not included with the Steampipe version of Source SDK Base 2006 (none of the tools files are included, they still only exist in steamapps/<username>/sourcesdk/bin/ep1/bin). Listen servers work fine, the game runs fine, etc. Any idea on what could be the cause, or what needs to be updated? To get a game or mod distributed by Steam, you still need to go through Greenlight. -- Nicholas Hastings AlliedMods.net Jorge Rodriguez Saturday, October 12, 2013 2:37 PM I saw this item in the last Steam client update changelog: http://store.steampowered.com/news/11597/ Does anybody know what this is all about? I sure would love to be able to use the new content system to distribute my 3rd party Source mod :) -- Jorge "Vino" Rodríguez [ Tw | Fb | G+ | Ht ] _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: https://list.valvesoftware.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hlcoders _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: https://list.valvesoftware.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hlcoders -- Jorge "Vino" Rodríguez [ Tw | Fb | G+ | Ht ] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: https://list.valvesoftware.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hlcoders -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: https://list.valvesoftware.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hlcoders
