There is a OpFor 1.1.0.6 patch, but I needed the HL patch to play online, I'm still getting the "cannot join server running different protocol version." OpFor still runs the file hl.exe, so the patch should work.

I am using OpFor on the Blue-Shift cd, but when I try to install the latest patch, it says I'm running the [space] version of half-life, and the patch is for the english version. Seeing as I can read the menus, I believe I have the english version, but it seems to think I have no language version. I think this has something to do with the sierra.inf or language.inf files, but I'm not sure. If someone (that has the patch working) could send a copy of those files for me to compare?
