-- -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] ResGen is the best way to create complete .res files. However it is a good idea to check the file generated after it is done. Occasionally ResGen will miss capital letters in file names. An example is the Stealth.wad file. ResGen will list the file as stealth.wad. Notice the lower case S. Other then that it works great.

I have gone to remaking all my map downloads as a lot of the zips on the web don't contain all the files needed for the map to run. Or they lack overviews, sounds, sprites, something. This is an example of the .res entries needed to get the overview uploaded to the client: overviews/cs_assault_die.bmp overviews/cs_assault_die.txt I have read somewhere that the .txt file will go automatically, but I have not tested this out. -- - m0gely http://quake2.telestream.com/ Q2 | Q3A | Counter-strike _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds -- [ IMSTP.gif of type image/gif deleted ] -- _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
