To add in the custom sounds, is there a way to do it so you don't have to add them manually into each .res file?

Most (all the maps I run) don't have this info called out. For kicks I just ran resgen on cs_office_cz which is a stock CZ map. There was no overview files called out. Do a ripent on your map. I bet the overviews are called out in there.
