I'm not sure about 64bit yet. The tests have recently run showed Mhz
decreases when using suse 9.0 64bit but game play was not as good
as suse 9.0 32bit and not by just a bit very noticably so.
64 bit is not an instant win situation its quite possible that you could
see a performance decrease.

Subject: [hlds] HLDS64 For Windows ???

Im not sure about you guys but I do see Performance increase when Im using the hlds64
on Linux.

It has nothing to do with "old app" or anything, all they really need to do is to use
an AMD64-enabled complier plus some
modiflcation to the original code in order to make it 64-bit. (because certain flags
are diff)

the problem here is that, it sounds easy, but for a big application that contains
10,000 line of code will "required" some work.
and for OS like Windows this required even More time to make sure everything runs
alright.

This is just exactly what has happened back to the i386 days. So give it some time.
