We have been running a CS server since beta 3.1 all the way back to 1999. In the past year it has just died off dramatically. We can add some crazy mod and it will draw players for a couple weeks but after the novelty wears off it is back to no activity at all. Our biggest issue is that many of the regulars, who have been around for years, began to take the game way to seriously. If you did not use "cal" tactics then they would chastise you and it no longer became fun to play. We vowed never to take the games that seriously and we wont. If they don't want to have fun then we would rather have it just sit empty.
