Here's something weird that happens on my brand new machine, which I built about a week ago.
I am running version 51.72 on an nvidia 6800. If I play farcry, and then play dod, my screen gets messed up. Specifically, the top 1/10 of the screen doesn't render correctly. It doesn't seem to draw the last (and closest) layer. I am able to see through walls in the little strip at the top of my screen. I'd like to install a newer version of the drivers, but they all seem to have problems with drawing smoke. If I reboot the machine after playing farcry, the problem doesn't exist. Is this what we're talking about here? From the link: * Set gl_d3dflip 1 on clients to prevent see-through walls * with D3D and nVidia Detonator driver ver. 53.03 And pardon my m4d typing skillz. okugin = plugin. -- - m0gely http://quake2.telestream.com/ Q2 | Q3A | Counter-strike _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
