That's all great for people that actually LIVE in one of these broad regions but for people in the Midwest, some servers are east coast and some are west coast so it wouldn't be exactly accurate. Amazing how Valve refuses to give a "Midwest" region.
Better than nothing I guess but I just don't see why they have to keep screwing over everyone with their "great ideas." You could even take it a step further and have the client request servers from a specific region or regions *only*, therby cutting down on the wait time on receiving the list, and also cutting down on the number of servers players have to wade thru - they'd only have to search thru those servers in their region or country. -K2 http://www.hardfought.org "List Keeper" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Now I definitely like the sorting by ping by default, but I think it has to do > with the order it's sent to the client that everyone is complaining about. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Sent: Sunday, August 29, 2004 04:48 PM > Subject: Re: [hlds] Not seeing CALIF servers > > > > Ah sonofabitch, if I didnt call this or what... it was either on this list > or > > on steampowered.com forums or both, I stated that if a 'fix' were to be > > implemented, it would favor a new group but screw over a whole new set of > > server admins.
