Consider this (spoiler)
The G-man could be Gordon in the future. Notice the way he endearingly taps Alyx on the shoulder when she's frozen in time. The g-man also says that he's "not at liberty to discuss" his control over time....perhaps this is because he doesn't want Gordon to do anything stupid? (hello, mcfly.) Why does the g-man make decisions for Gordon? If he's able to control time, then why is he always where Gordon is? What is the significance of Gordon, other than being a hero? There must be something tying the two of them together, and it sure as hell isn't only the fact that the g-man is gordon's boss. g-man = Gordon-man? Why is the g-man making deals with the vortigons, and why are they vortigons trying to hide this from Gordon? I thought the vortigons were "bad guys". "offers he wouldn't consider..." What would be an offer you wouldn't normally consider? Perhaps going back in time and double-crossing yourself to cause a butterfly effect which eventually saves earth? Meh, like the people reading this list have any major influence over the art/storyline side of things, if you want to inform them that they've somewhat disappointed you with the ending of their game then go onto the www.steampowered.com forums or email someone with some sort of influence on that kind of stuff. -- - Bruce "Bahamut" Andrews _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
