lol, I didn't follow it through. They charged somebody with the deed, eh?
Yea, I was basically just spouting off on a tangent. ati and nvidia
couldn't have planned it better though. We were thinking a year ago we
"had" to have a 9800pro or better to run it. And people were actiing like
they "had" to have it "stat".

Yes the mod is for hl but they are talking about hl2. I am very suprised
valve didn't incorperate them as sven coop is an excellent mod. They
should
have bought him out and hired him to design the thing already.

also I hear people have already played through the whole of hl2 after a day or two????

One of the coolest things about the first one was the enormous depth of the
game in my opinion. Most games would have been over and done with before I
was even "getting into" the half life game. What a dissapointment if you
guys played through it that quickly...I remember how robbed I felt when I
got to the end of the "blue shift" expansion. I never even used all the
guns
the manual talked about. Opposing force was in between the two as far as
depth. No doubt there will be expansions but if the first one was already
short.....

Personally I wonder if the whole "source code theft" thing was engineered.
They sure pumped up the video card market with all the hype. I wonder how
many hundreds of thousands of 9800 pros have been sold since. Then nvidia
was scrambling to make up the alleged performance difference. They both
sold
a heck of a lot of cards because "we needed em to play hl2" that will be
"comming out soon" over the last year. The delay sure was good for the
video
card market....hmmmmm. All that time and the game is short sheeted? I think
I'll wait till it comes out on vhs, lol.
