....which was too short...but still a fun game. The original hl had so much depth, interesting puzzles that made it more than just point and shoot, great graphics so it wasn't just using darkness as the enemy, there were actual enemys. It wasn't like avp where you just run and something jumps out of the dark and scares the shiznot out of you. The game actually had some good ai and a point. avp was ok..but who needs the nightmares.:>) ..who needs to go blind from squinting in the dark either. I wonder if in 10-20 years people will start sueing game designers over their bad eyesight from poorly lit games that used darkness as the gimic?

That intro in the first game built the anticipation and started the game out game great imo. I was just amazed at the graphics and became immersed in the story line. Besides all you had to do was hit esc (or was it space) and you could have skipped it if you wanted.
