I've been trying -tickrate on our linux (2.4) CS:S servers and: -tickrate 100 and fps_max 400:
server empty: 100 fps 1 player: 50 fps 8 players: 0! fps 10+ players 1 fps altought I was playing and the game was mostly fine (some players were pinging high) until we were 30 players (it's a 40 slots server), then the game become unplayable, totally laggy. I'm going to revert back to the default tickrate...
