My HL2DM server is crashing very regularly too, and it is creating empty Steam_*.mdmp files in the directory.
I am also running an HL2CTF mod on a different server, and it never crashes. I updated both servers with the latest steam update yesterday. They are both running mani too. If there is any information or any steps that you would like me to do that will help let me know. I am starting a fresh run now and all console output is going to the log, so maybe there will be something useful in there.
