I did put in the max value of 99 for some humor... Try sitting on any motd screen for 99 seconds sometime.... ;-)
But I do think a 5 to 10 second delay is OK. Provided there is something worth looking at on the screen. Like a message from a server supporting sponsor. The big hosts on the big IP pipes cost money and we would all like to lessen our expenses via pass-through to anyone with lots of cash to spare.
OK?
I am all in favor of less defects because less defects equals more playtime.
Regards, Steve

Why would it be its been a feature in other games for as long as I can remember and is really useful for publics etc. Its not too much to ask that someone reads the MOTD as it often contains important info as well as advertising.

Tell me that was a joke.....

Perhaps a less defect potential solution would be to add a cvar called sv_motddelay (default 0, range 0 .. 99) that disables the motd OK button for the time specified in the server.cfg?
