I did put in the max value of 99 for some humor...
Try sitting on any motd screen for 99 seconds sometime....
;-)

But I do think a 5 to 10 second delay is OK.
Provided there is something worth looking at on the screen.
Like a message from a server supporting sponsor.
The big hosts on the big IP pipes cost money and we would all like to
lessen our expenses via pass-through to anyone with lots of cash to spare.

I am all in favor of less defects because less defects equals more playtime.
