Date: Fri, 24 Jun 2005 17:04:02 -0400 In general I concur with Clayton, even VM-ESX Server instances can show some flakyness when stressed. If you have the time though it would be interesting to see if you ran a win32 virtual instance running the win32 server and see if it showed the same problem. ( my guess would be it probably would.) -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Clayton Macleod Sent: Friday, June 24, 2005 4:50 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [hlds] Windows 2003 HLDS install problem. I think the problem is you're trying to run performance-needy game server software in a performance-sapping virtual machine. I sincerely doubt you'll ever have good results. Do yourself a favour and just do it the right way. _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
