Thanks Alfred... I thought I had updated on the Counter-Strike Source Game..
option. Maybe I slipped.. long day at the office Programminmg to come home
to updating my server.. will try and see if that works.. appreciate the
quick responses...

Sounds like you are updating a HL1 server into a Source server
directory, that is bad. Check your update options. For Counter-Strike:
Source the -game parameter MUST be "Counter-Strike Source". If you did
mix the two it would be best to delete everything and start from scratch
(after backing up any custom configs you may have).

okay I forced the issue but noticed that the SRCDS icon was not part
of the package... reinstalled and same results... Are we being forced
to leave the SRCDS and move to teh HLDS server instead

Second issue; I did copy off the original server and no issues with
Steam autincating and disoplaying my server. However under the HLDS
server I was no longer on the Steam listing and attempts to locate
via the Favorites, resulted in not being able to find my server...
best guess????
