-- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] You know Alfred, those "Third Party Tools" are only necessary because someone is either too lazy or too cheap to develop a decent remote management GUI for their server product. The Mani tool, for example, fills a niche that makes the task of quick response to management requirements doable. It would seem to be sensible to at least coordinate with these 3rd party providers prior to releasing a new version. If nothing else, this would permit these third parties to test their products with your new release beforehand and afford them an opportunity to make any fixes that they deem necessary; and do so in sychronization with your distribution. Sure it might delay your release a day or two. But I personally would much rather wait even a week or more to get a new release that is compatible with Mani so I don't have to take my servers offline until the problem is fixed. "If it works - don't fix it!" is an adage the definitely applies here, so I prefer to wait to perform updates until I can see through this mailing list that it's not going to break my servers. <Chris "Rock" Curtis> House Of Rock servers www.rockshouse.net
