Let me guess, a fellow DoD:S admin? I quite agree, but look
at how many server-side fixes Valve has to take care of already on
both the Windows and Linux boxes? Couple that with all the other
problems on that platform (hit registration being the big one I
see on the steampowered forums) and I suspect we're not going to
see this fixed any time soon.

If CS:S is an indication, Valve is fighting fires right now
and will address gameplay problems as soon as the server side of
things is stable.

Alfred? It would be a nice bone to throw towards us if
you might occassionally address the priorities Valve is placing on
the server vs. gameplay issues. I'm sure we'll be mentioning your
responses to players who complain in-game, and it would give the
community a broader idea of what issues are ahead of their little
peeve-du-jour.

PS: Speaking of peeves, I'm off for four days with the relatives.
Oh, how I'd rather be beating my head against a brick wall trying
to debug a plugin problem than having my mother-in-law grab my
cheek and try to rattle it. Taken as a whole, the stickie-player
bug isn't all that big a deal.
