Jason: Its called "steam" its the steam server update utility...
Andrew: The CS-server itself works perfectly as root.. its the update
utility that doesn work as root.. But i chowned the folders inside /root, to
my user. and that way it works.. but i still thinks its sucky

It requires that due to the main files are to be stored in the /root
directory, and so that normal users cant add warservers,public servers,
and
stop/start servers =)

This is the Windows Mailing list, you need to join the Linux one, but
seriously, I wouldn't recommend running HLDSUpdateTool, Steam or HLDS
or SRCDS themselves as root as this can cause serious problems and
security issues!
