Ditch Earthlink. Get a real ISP. Earthlink's glory days are over, and they are becoming another AOL. If you have a voip package then you probably have a custom router which blocks a lot of ports and has QoS to make sure the voip packets have priority. Works nice for voice, worthless for most everything else. FWIW, you don't need a static IP to run a server.

Thanks for all the tips. I have 8Meg DSL which tests faster than a T1 down 768 up which must be faster because I'm in Dallas and my brother's in Michigan and he has less than 35 ping NO LAG. just trying to save some money but I talked to Earthlink and they said it was because I have their Digital Voice . They said I can't even get a Static IP those Bas***rds they killed me server LOL Oh well just wanted more than 4 of us guess we'll keep playing on other peoples servers.
