Hello everyone!

How does the packet acknowledgment work? Does the server give a feedback
about that to the client? Are there extra acknowledgment packets or is
this information stored into the "normal" packets, that are comming
according to the cl_updaterate? Will just the last received packet
number be replied?

I'm realy interessted in this, for example since I still don't know, how
exactly cl_cmdbackup or choke does work. Maybe this values don't base on
missing acknowledgment information, but on pure client side calculation
via packet size and the rate value?

With kind regards,
