Many mods no longer work with major updates as they hook directly into HL2
via memory references (which while gives them access to specific features,
completely breaks the mod after an update is released, because these
addresses change as a result of simply updating the game code).

Alfred's already said they shouldn't be doing this, so perhaps instead Valve
should make these functions assessable directly via the SDK, or the mod
authors should stop doing it.
