-- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Not that it is relevant to the HLDS list, but there are a lot of things you can do with the Xbox, and as far as it goes network connection depends on the game developer, MS Live is merely one type of network that can be used in the MS SDK for Xbox code. Most games that can connect to Live content also have a local multi player mode, so that being said if the game developer wanted to they could allow the game to connect to their servers (COUGHSTEAMCOUGH) for content and play.
I have seen players that are far more aim controlled with a Xbox paddle then I could ever be with a mouse and keyboard. So I would guess that Value has decided not to allow their Xbox games to connect to Steam, anyone's guess as to why? but maybe it's part of a non-compete agreement with MS Live? Image that pay once for a game with plenty of free servers for all Go Valve....
