Matt, You are much braver than I. I have been running my hlds server for about a year now, started with CS and switch to CZ. I still have yet to find any really excellent instructions (including a security risk analysis) for installing any mods whatsoever.
This has been part of my frustration with this group. Typically, everyone is talking about Source issues 95% of the time, and thumping on each other all the while. Only 1/100 emails has to do with hlds related issues, where any actually useful information was offered. So, sorry, I can't guide you on mods, or logging for that matter. That is why I asked you for your experience ;) What is your server address?
