Thanks for the help :).
Ahh...I'm getting stupid in my old age. I was looking in my source dedicated
server directory LOL. OK, I see the cfg directory. Glad you mentioned
listenserver.cfg - I would have put autoexec.cfg and server.cfg only, and
wondered why it wasn't working.
I've found that if I minimize my client, the cpu drops to about 7%, which is
probably the server itself. The client appears to not be updated (which is
good). I'm also having some serious stability issues. From what I've seen,
I'm not alone, but I need to play with it a bit to see what does and what
does not work.
I'm going to have to put this project on hold, I'm leaving town in the
morning, won't be back until Friday :(

Ooks,
Configs go in the client cfg folder, you'll have to make a
listenserver.cfg if there isn't one.
...\half-life deathmatch source\hl1mp\cfg\listenserver.cfg
I highly recommend setting the maxspeed to 270 otherwise players move way
WAY too fast.
sv_maxspeed 270
Keep the server small (start with 6 players) and keep the timelimit and
fraglimits low, things like satchels aren't removed on player's death so
the
map quickly becomes trashed otherwise.
If you're going to leave a listenserver up and running, make your client
run
in a 640x480 window and turn off all advanced video features to minimize
the
cpu demand.
Here is a basic starter listenserver.cfg that you can use:
http://qsextreme.com/hl1mp/cfg/listenserver.
I'm still waiting on the dedicated server disti and then I'll have some of
my custom maps compiled for it.

Subject: [hlds] HL Source DM config
Is anyone actually running an HL Source DM server? Since there is not
dedicated server out yet, where do the configs go? There is a config
directory, does it use standard configs? Are there any docs anywhere re:
running a listen server?
