I lost sound after playing map dod_dog1 for the first time. I was playing steam in offline mode with sturmbot. I have no sound on my computer at all now not just in dod.
I restarted game still no sound. Restarted steam still no sound. Restarted comp still no sound. Used mru blaster to clean out cookies etc. (not sure why this would help but what the heck.) Turned off comp and left it off for a bit. I hooked up headphones to make sure my speakers hadn't flaked out but still no sound. I tried the microsoft website and found this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/893681/en-us which walked me through the problem step by step but then at the end there's a long list which is the (then a miracle happens part) I don't know which of these _+$*&@%)@% things isn't working...If I knew that why would I need the [EMAIL PROTECTED]@+_% microsoft website to start with? I've lost sound upon occasion while playing on line in the past but but restarting the game always fixed it.
