Ryan: For HL1 and HL2 games, there is a command: cl_showfps 1
for a minimal impact fps display, 0 is off and for HL2 game there is mode 2 available with a min/max. You can also use: net_graph 3 which has a high demand more complex display, 0 is off, 1 is basic display with ping, 2 adds sound and render info, 3 is just numbers (no graph) but includes choke info. For HL1 games only, there is also: r_speeds 1 that will do a continuous fps and poly display in console (faster then 1/s though) This is a high-demand display which was very useful in developer 1 mode to scan a map for performance problems. qUiCkSiLvEr ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ryan Brady" To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, December 03, 2006 10:02 AM Subject: [hlds] cvar hello, i know this isn't on topic, but maybe someone can remember. there is a cvar (i know it is in cs, possibly other mods) that when set to 1 would report the current fps about once per second to the console. you could run around a map then check your console and see the list of results. thanks in advance, for anyone who can help :) _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
