I know it's way off topic... and I'm running the risk of offending some
people... but I can't resist. :)~

Here goes...

I bought a house when I was 35 and took out a 15 year mortgage. I can remember
at the time thinking to myself Wow! By the time I pay this off I'll be 50
years old... I'll be an old man. Well... I paid off the mortgage right on time
and nothing was different. I still loved all the same things... I still rode
my motorcycle... still loved boating and skiing and flying... still did all the
same things I did when I was 35. The only difference was that at 50 I could
afford it. hehehe.

Now I'm 60 and I'm still waiting to become an old man but it's just not
happening. I'm a little stiffer and a few more things hurt but not enough to
complain about. Being 60 is just not all that bad... stay active, do the
things you love and be happy... age is truly just a number.

I quit counting at 45. 50 is waaayyy too close for comfort, and old age
pains are already moving in. <sigh> Youth just didn't last long enough, did
it? But better to be old, crochety and wise then young and dumb :-P
