You have a DOD server running? Is this the same server you are trying to get
to work, or a different one?
Did you turn off the firewall in your router?

Thanks Roger, after a little research I ran netstat -a. Showed a server
running on port 27015, probably my DoD server. When I can I'll stop it and
run netstat again. There are also servers on several other ports including
26900. Don't know what these are. Server has been up for 4.5 hours now at
request from prior e-mail posts. The people I have been able to check with
can't see it on master list. There are a few people playing on it, good
sign. I tried to ask in chat where ithey found it, and got no reply.
