I just upgraded the processor on our dedicated cs server from a single core AMD 3700+ to a Opteron 165 with dual cores, the OS is Windows Server 2003, SP1. Anyone that is running dual core, from your experience, should I apply the Microsoft and/or AMD patches for dual core to this dedicated box? I only have one CS 1.6 server on presently, but will be adding another one this weekend. I would like to make sure each game affinities to a separate processor core. How do the dualcore patches, from AMD and Microsoft, affect dedicated HLDS server operation is the gist of the question.
