-- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] I'm hosting a CSS surf server on my university's internet connection. I'm alloted a single ethernet port for internet access, so I've got my personal desktop along with my server behind a router which then connects to the network (my router is a linksys BEFSR81). It all seemed to be working at first, but if I try to join the server from my favorites list (not via the LAN list) I get all sorts of strange errors which pop up in the upper-right corner. Some of them are as follows:
Netchannel: failed processing message svc_PacketEntities. something about CL_flushentitypacket These are often followed by "update delta not found" which is in the console only and then sometimes it just gives me a silent boot/disconnect from the game, not showing anything unless I open the console, and this will be the last entry: Host_Error: CL_CopyExistingEntity: missing client entity 467. with different numbers there each time it happens. If I join my server via the LAN list, which uses my network's local IP, everything works fine. As far as I know, I am the only one having any issues connecting to the server. I read that the flushentitypacket error indicates something about UDP traffic shaping over the network, which I wouldn't rule out, but I don't think that's the issue because as far as I know, I'm the only one having these issues with my server. I would appreciate if someone can give me some insight into what is happening and how I might go about fixing it. -- _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
