Valve has never cared about you and never will. Get used to it. I used to do all that and after fixing the plugins that Valve broke every week or so just to keep my server running I gave up. It is still running, but I just don't care. They have beaten all the care out of me.
One day Valve will realize that mods and plugins are the only thing that keeps the game interesting for the majority of people after a couple of months.
