The problems are: A) Most people don't care that much and B) Most people don't know they're there.
For instance as it was just mentioned: Alltalk. How many people would join an alltalk server if it was listed, properly labeled mind you, alongside the others? How many care enough, though, to go hunt it down? Most people join what's in front of them, because it doesn't have a big enough impact on them either way. A reverse view would be: If 32x is that unpopular, surely people would've been avoiding them? Instead they were always full. We need a system that presents a player with all his choices right away, with a clear and simple method by which the player can join the server that fits his needs. I think the custom tab is a pretty good first attempt at that, the problem is there's still an internet tab... - Neph On Sat, Mar 1, 2008 at 4:25 AM, Garry Newman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Can't you just make your server normal and have it shown on the Internet tab? > > Surely servers with mods should be niche and people should go looking for > them. > > garry > > _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlds
