Hello, yes thats right, also you can block everything except your network range (for example: 10.1.0.0/16 or 192.168.0.0/16) in iptables (i assume you have linux :) and allow masterservers, vac server and update server. If you don't know IP adresses of these servers, you can use linux utility called netstat, "netstat -nta". But block only incoming connections, not outgoing. Because i think outgoing ports to connect to master servers are random.
