I highly recommend disabling UAC. Its job is pretty useless as it does not
ask for a password like the linux equivalent.

To disable:

Start > Control Panel > User Accounts > Turn user account control on or off
> uncheck the box.

This does not disable any account/user stuff todo with file permissions or
stuff like that. It just sets it like XP. UAC is the first thing I disable
when installing vista.

I'm sure if you look over the internet, you will see sooooo many people
turning UAC off.
