It can help a bit, but it's not enough for serious RSA cracking :). I can crack a 32 bit code in seconds, a 48 bit code in about a year. So with some decent paralellism, I could crack a 48 bit code in a half a day, and a 64 bit code in about a hundred years. Forget about 128 bit codes, you need almost infinite parallelism to crack those :(
